I have an iPhone XS Max. The screen is cracked unfortunately. Can I trade it in to Apple for a discount for the iPhone 13? I wanted it do it through Verizon, my provider, but they said it would take several weeks to get the phone and apple would have it sooner

2022.01.21 20:07 xosiona realistic time management advice for a beginner (during college)

so i’m a college student who’s starting classes this week. i work on campus like 8-10 hours and im involved in a couple clubs (one i need becs it’s directly involved in my major). a little background about me: i’m NOT a CS major or anything close to it but i’ve gotten into front end over the winter break and i’d love to continue it and get a related job straight out of college. i’m currently a sophomore so i have 2-2.5 years to really build up my skills and portfolio. i’m a beginner, with intermediate knowledge of html and css (haven’t started javascript yet). does anyone have any advice on how i can manage all my college work and still continue to grow as a front end developer? i don’t mind working less and going slow but i’d like to stay consistent and learn throughout college.
for reference: i’m doing the front end masters boot camp to get a basic knowledge of html, css, java. after that, i’ll begin with freecodecamp certifications. i’m aiming to complete the certification up till JS by summer’22. once i’m done with all this, i’m hoping to work on some personal projects and take a paid udemy course or smth to really work on my skills.

1 Note that this value is the "net increase" of cases. A small number of previous cases are removed with each update (e.g. A "probable case" was later determined to later not test positive for Covid)
  • 193 cases were removed today (normal range in previous waves was 5-20 cases removed)
2 For the period of May 1 - June 1 and Sept 9 - Nov 23, due to the prevalence of the B.1.1.7 variant and the high rate of cases, not all positive cases were submitted for variant screening to ensure tests sent for screening are returned quickly

2022.01.21 20:07 citizen_of_world A little post on Thiruvanmiyur

Thought to post this as many of you or a short sect may not be aware of the history of this place (Myth as some might call.)
Thiruvanmiyur is so close to my heart as I spent a couple years there. I have had so many good memories of the place. The Beaches, More thatha, good restaurants, T51 bus etc.,. It has been 10 years since I left that place. I thought someday I will buy a house there and move. Not/Never going to happen with the prices.
A little tidbit I learnt while living there - The actual name of the place was "Thiruvalmikiyur" - as the legend is that Sage Valmiki worshipped Lord Shiva at the Marundheeswarar Temple before writing Ramayana. Hence the name Thiruvalmikiyur - which over time became "Thiruvanmiyur. The current Valmiki Nagar is in honor of Valmiki's connection to this place.
Valmiki also has a temple here - the small temple at the center of ECR just outside of the Bus Depot is the Valmiki temple in his honor.
If you can and like visit the Marundheeswarar temple - a divine place really.
Also - There is a mess at the side of the temple where they sell real "Set" dosas. Hope they still do. I ate there 10 years ago or so.
Miss Thiruvanmiyur...

Currently Iron 1 in placements [1-0] would really appreciate if someone could duo w me and boost me to silver at the least. Peaked S2 last season but finished in S4. Could maybe teach me how to play better and point out some mistakes I do so I can improve. Much appreciated for anyone down to help me.
